Little Baddow: a century of village life gathers together the memories of residents of the village to produce an image of life here in the 20th century.

There are twenty six contributors, each offering a particular perspective on village life. It was put together during 1998 and 1999 as a way to mark the millennium.  The book is illustrated by a range of images taken from the Parish Chest.

For information about families and houses in the village, John Bundock's book They Lived Here For a Time gives a detailed account of who lives where, through the second part of the 19th century and the early years of the 20th. He has also produced transcriptions of 53 wills, from 1500 to 1857, where the testatrix has identified himself or herself as coming from Little Baddow. Entitled Sick in Body, Perfect of Memory, it gives a fascinating insight into the history of the village and its families.  An earlier volume, giving wills from 1800 to 1857, entitled Of Sound and Disposing Mind is also available.
