Family History Updates.  Discuss House History.  Have you researched the History of your house or an Ancestor’s house and found where an ancestor lived.What did you find out and what sources did you use?

VISIT

Visit the Essex Record Office for a guided tour of the building and repository, including a look at their on-line catalogue, and view a display of original documents relating to our area.

15th

Family History updates.  Talk by Alan Mathews about the History, events and Industries on the Isle of Man.  Drawing upon his research and visits over many years

JUNE 5th

VISIT

Visit to the Windmill at Rayleigh to view their museum.  Also take a Guided tour exploring the Rayleigh Mound  and learn about it’s history. 

12th

Talk by Andrew Wiltshire entitled ‘ Who was Beatrix Potter’s code breaker’.

VISIT

Visit The Old House, Rochford for a guided tour of the house, which dates back to the 13th Century.  Where we will learn about it’s history and architecture. Walking guided tour of Old Rochford.

Talk by Adrian Wright ‘The 1953 British storm and flood’ What happened and why.

Family History updates.  Tony to give us a talk on the ‘Titanic” Explaining the events leading up to and what happened on that fateful night.
